hansel from basel
So sad, all three colourways in these fun Triangular Tights by Hansel and Basel are SOLD OUT! They would be perfect paired with a black, Melbourne, winter outfit!

alison alison
Look who I found! Alison Alison - the Etsy store I was looking for a couple of posts below when I came across James Ward's handdrawn plates instead. I love these illustrated pillows - detailed black lines with a dash of bright colour and charming coloured material covering their rears!

type crush
I have not been able get this beautiful type out of my head since seeing it over on The Design Files earlier this month. I wish I had the ability to write like this. The task of creating our wedding invites would be a lot easier I'm sure! This lovely type however was cleverly crafted by the talented femmes from Ortolan - a designy-force to be reckoned with! Not unlike Lucy (from TDF) herself, who is the hunter and gatherer of all things lust-worthy! The anticipation watching her blog load, wondering what fabulous things will be shared with us is always such a delight - the perfect way to start a day!

etsy
I've been searching Etsy for the past...well, I'm not too sure how long, lets just say it has been long enough... trying to find something I spotted during the week and wanted to share. Turns out I didn't Bookmark or add this item to my Favourites like I thought I had. Now I can not find it anywhere! Since it is getting late and my eyes are a little sore I've given up the search but fear not I still have something pretty darn cool to show you.
Hand-painted plates by James Ward Designs. I think the stealing, bandit bear is my fav!

doppleganger beware
Did anyone else watch Exit Through the Gift Shop and think this...?
The film was totally entertaining and I believe lived up to its hype! I was left on a high and I'm not sure if this was from disbelieve at what I'd just seen actually happened or if Thierry could have really been a Rob Schneider character!
My thoughts were also occupied with, who owns a Mr Brainwash? Was there any gold amongst all that film? Was this an example of achieving anything if you put your mind to it? And the obvious, were Thierry and Rob separated at birth?
Sadly if you are in Melbourne and have not yet seen this I'm sorry to say all remaining screening have been SOLD OUT!
Edit: Oops! Almost forgot - images from here and here.

mission : socks
Do you like keeping cozy during winter, wearing warm socks, sitting by an open fire, drinking giant cups of tea? I do. Well, I don't have an open fire but if I did, I would like it!
Some aren't so lucky and I know you know this. But, did you know 1234 and Mission Australia are teaming up to donate pairs of socks to the homeless this winter? And you can help. Simply click through to their Facebook page here and hit the 'like' button. For every 'like' a pair of socks will go to someone in need - their goal is 12,340 pairs of socks.
This is a project my partner has been involved in and one I think is a great cause so I'm happy to help spread the word. If you feel like it you too can spread the word and keep someones toes nice and cozy this winter.

happy cloud

Limited time = Limited words...So, I thought I'd quickly show a couple of pics of a little Happy Cloud brooch (or necklace pendant, it has a special loop just in case) I made recently.
Happy Clouds come from a sky where all your wishes come true! Don't you know?!
Now that's the kind of sky I like! Not like the sky around here which is very, very dark at the moment and makes for very poorly lit pics!!

spare minutes
This is what my spare minutes have been occupied with over the past few days.

Little knitted beards.
Preparing for something exciting perhaps...?!

wandering
Pretty fabrics found at local op-shops this weekend. Seems I'm acquiring a new habit. Every few weekends I stop by a local cafe for great coffee and continue wandering on to the main shopping strip where there are three lovely oppies to explore.
A much needed stretch for my legs and a great way to spend a lazy, unplanned weekend morning!
Hope your enjoying your weekend.
