wedding peek

The pics above are from last weekend. I did a last minute test run of flowers for our wedding. I'd forgotten to check what flowers were in season so thought I'd better go investigate. And yes, we are doing our own flowers too. Well, by the time you read this they will all be done because TODAY is THE day people! Today we get married! Woohoo! And tomorrow we are off on our honeymoon.

See you when I get back (that's if I don't sneak in a post or two while away).

Another DIY project we tried our hand at - cake stands. Made possible with a some help from here and here. I didn't like all the colours and patterns on our plates and was running out of time to keep searching so I opted to paint them all in a satin white finish. They came up pretty neat. I can't wait to see them in action at our wedding!

Little flags for our wedding. Hand cut, free form no less. Done by the mister-to-be. I was very impressed with his helpful skills.

the vintage table

I imagine op shops in England to be filled with beautiful teacups and plates etc like this. But then again it looks to me like The Vintage Table may have beaten everyone to it!

wedding wrap-up : part III

I love all the DIY that went in to this wedding. So special! Images via Once Wed.

A wedding with quirky photos. I love the backdrop to the group photo above but they also got married under a giant, orange, cowboy hat! I kid you not. And the reception was in an old brewery - more great photos. Plus there was plenty of DIY style going on. Photos by One Love Photo found via 100 Layer Cake.

A bride in blue with beautiful red lips and purple dyed shoes! I love a bride in colour. These guys had two celebrations. Outfits for both were amazing! Found via Little Winter Bride.

Another wedding found via Little Winter Bride and this could possibly be one of the cutest brides! Wearing a vintage beaded dress and sweet vintage hair style, the bride is none other than Nadia Izruna for Nadinoo. You know, the pretty London based clothing label, all handmade and filled with Liberty of London prints.

Last but not least on this little wrap-up is the most amazing wedding filled to the brim with handmade goodness. Hand painted banners done by guests, the bride's dress made from her mum's wedding dress and those incredible giant flowers! Oh my! I know these photos have been featured on a lot of blogs of late but I just couldn't resist including it here. I came across them via Thoughtful Day however more can be seen over here or on the bride's wonderful blog.

These sweet little creations reminded me of Nara Yoshimoto's little girls, however not so sinister looking, they are by Nathalie Choux. I came across Nathalie's work via Lili Scratchy who always has the most wonderful blog roll list - a place to get lost in - if you have enough (a lot of) time! Lili Scratchy and Nathalie also have a collaborative blog over here full of their ceramic creations. So clever!

thank you

The above are some new Bearded Blokes finished recently, all are off to new places. I can not believe the support and response I have had since I started making and selling these guys at the start of this year. For everyone's words of encouragement, kind blog posts and purchases I can not say a big enough thank you. I could never have imagined I would have had a reaction like this and I am so grateful.

Thank you. x
