belongings

I thought I would share this pretty teacup and saucer with you. Isn't it sweet? It's from my Nana, she gave one from her collection to each of her granddaughters recently as she moved into a care home and seriously downsized her belongings. This must be a hard time to go through - having to give up most of the possessions one acquires during a lifetime, hanging on only to those that are truly sentimental or needed on a practical level.

Oh, that's so beautiful :) So lovely to have such a gorgeous reminder of her. I have a dinner set from my nana. It's a really unattractive plain green but I love it ;) K

Perhaps it helps to know that your loved items are going to people that can appreciate them and perhaps you could take a little picnic and have a cup of tea with her in the special cup.

Beautiful. Elegant. Pretty. Classy.
A lovely way to remember her... and she can still have a cup of tea out of it when she visits you (or you could take it with you when you vist her)

it's beautiful! Tea will taste at least 1 000 000 times better when sipped from that cup!

It is such a difficult and sad time, so many mixed feelings and most of them sad (well it was for us). What a beautiful, beautiful gift, I hope you enjoy it in whatever guise, either to use for a special cup of tea, or to just admire, it's incredible.

this is one of the sweetest most beautiful teacups I have ever seen. I collect a lot of them but recently have been given quite a few from mum as she is down sizing and they are the most treasured to me. Yours is divine
