Since knitting the Odd-Bod kitty for the giveaway, things have been getting a little cat crazy around here!

For those of you who don't know me that well, I am definitely a cat lady. One who stops and talks to the cats she meets on walks.

A daily blog read of mine is called kittygenius, although not about cats, I'm attracted to the name as much as Ashely's lovely artwork and other snippets she shares. Ashley does however own the most adorable kitty, Iz.

I too own a cat, Millie the Burmilla. She especially likes cuddles in the mornings and helps make the bed.

Millie.

Having recently purchase a cute, kitty softie form the talented Anke Weckmann I was super delighted to come across her other blog this week, we say meow. All about cat artworks and artists' cats, Anke puts this blog together with fellow illustrator and cat lover Mary Kilvert.
Anke Weckman softie purchased from here.

On their blog is a post about the lovely Catherine Campbell and two of her gorgeous cat illustration of which I am lucky enough to own as prints! They are so good!

Catherine Campbell prints from here.

Plus a dear workmate recently surprised me with this cute gift!

So, it's little wonder my design for The Quilt Project features cats, nine in fact! It's even titled, 9 Lives, which I felt was also fitting because a quilt can have many lives during it's existence, especially if it becomes a family heirloom. With that said here is a sneak at my design. Now to get the red thread out and start!

So much kitty goodness! The sketches look great. I'm so amazed at all the different designs everyone has come up with. I can't wait to see this stitched up! Especially the kitty with the tea cup :)

I really like that pebble with the cat meowing on it. I love the little gifts that people give which - though inexpensive in monetary terms - have a lot of thought put into them. The kind of gift someone gives you and says 'I saw it and thought of you'.

I'm a cat person too so I completely understand your doting adoration for the feline species. Love the gorgeous sketches you've come up with. can't wait to see your finished square.

I love cats! I love their attitude most of all I think :) There's such personality there - love how you've captured that in those sketches! They are super cool. K

I really love kitties, but as I am allergic to the real ones I need to win your pink one!
Can't wait to see the stitching take shape...

people need two tails, a dog tail to wag when they are happy and a cat tail to wave about when they are surly. i think both my tails are cat tails; i've always lived with the sinister furballs! great sketches!
