heat wave

Melbourne is currently so hot train lines are warping! Imagine that.

So, if melting metal is possible in this heat it would be fair to say that one could be easily distracted too, right?

Well,
I became so distracted by the pretty moving images to the right of the screen over here, that I ended up here, and before I knew it I'd made this...
...and there are so many other things I should be doing! Oh well.

These recycled bows a great idea and so easy to make. I highly recommend becoming distracted for a while but be careful it is true what they say, they are addictive!

window shopping in rome

How amazing are these bags? Of course the brown owl bag caught my eye first! You might not be able to make it out in this pic but the brown owl bag also had a mini matching key tag (its in the top right corner of pic). Very cute. I have since discovered that these guys - Braccialini, make all sorts of extraordinarily cleaver creations.

street art

Here are some street art snaps we took from various places we saw including London, Paris, Brussels, Rome, Brooklyn and....

...this little gem on the pavement outside the casa we stayed at in Havana!

fresh produce

This is what I had for breakfast on the weekend.

It's great having family in the country who bring yummy fresh food when they visit!

another window

I found another window display pic from the trip which I thought some of you might like. This guy was the head of a mannequin wearing a ladies black winter coat. He had some buddies too but I thought he was by far the best. Wish I took more photos!

welcome 2009!

Hello. I'm back. Back from the big overseas trip mentioned a couple of posts below. I can't believe two months have past already. As you can see there was no blogging time whatsoever while away, there was however amazing places seen, amazing people met, incredible food eaten and the best memories made. I feel very fortunate to have had this time to travel.

While there is so much to catch up on and I can't wait to see what you are all up to the truth is reality and jet lag are taking their toll so, kindly bare with me if you can while I get back into the swing of things.

To start my '09 blogging journey here are a couple of pics of some gorgeous window displays I spotted while away. The first one was from Galeries Lafayette
in
Paris, and the other two where on 5th Avenue in New York City. Apologies for no store credit or further details I was too captivated by the displays to notice.
