from one generation to another

These all belonged to my nana. She is no longer able to put them to use as her body fails to keep up with her mind. They were passed on to me. And will be treasured!

Such lovely things. I also inherited my Grandmothers knitting and crochet booklets. She is 97 and unable to use them. They are beautifully made, from the 40'2 and 50's, and one day I will really really try to learn to knit properly so that I can make up some of the patterns. Can't wait to see what you will make. I quite like the orange doll with the yellow hat on the Toy Bonanza pull out. :)

What a bunch of treasures!! Although I'm sorry about your nana, I hope her passing wasn't recent.

I almost bought a box of plastic tube craft books and tubing from a craft shop yesterday simply for the books. They were typed pages with cute little drawings and photos and the most fabulous retro covers. Hmmm, still thinking I should have got them.

oh how sweet they are! You will treasure them! Is it just me or are some of those softies from Toy Bonanza a little left of centre? I'm thinking the little lady with black eyes and lips and giant pink hands coming out of her shoulders? The one right in front of the girl is also looking a little possessed! Eek! That's one of the greatest things about vintage stuff like this - sometimes it is just so out there!
