amsterdam : part III

How great is that giant wooden button sign?! Perfect for Knopenwinkel - a store full of buttons! On our last day in Amsterdam I uploaded a photo of this sign to Instagram and Giova the lovely blogger of One Bunting Away, (who lives in Amsterdam, lucky lady) got in touch. Giova has a wonderful post on her blog called, Craft Stores in Amsterdam. I highly recommend checking it out if you're in this part of the world. Had I known ahead of time I could have done damage. Never mind. I did coincidentally found this button store. And another great store you might like which Giova has blogged about called, Rare Bird. You can check out her post and photos here. Others stores I stumbled upon worth sharing include; The New Label Project, full of handmade goods by emerging designers, mostly local from what I could tell. And one of my favourites, Hear Hear aptly using the tagline; A Tiny Two Story Shop in Amsterdam. This beautiful tiny store has a thoughtfully curated selection of handmade and well designed goods. Perfect for gifts or to treat yourself!

I LOVE Amsterdam. If I saw that button sign I would head towards it like a magnet! And like you, if I had been armed with a craft store guide, I would have bought a ridiculous amount of stuff. Aaahhh....
Lucky you -- ENJOY!!!!!

P.S. I hope you get to eat a lot of lovely cheeses.
