new girls

Hello! Let me introduce you to four lovely girls I made late last year that were part of a limited collection of five. One has gone to a loving new home already and the others I have just listed in my Etsy store this week. I'm a little bit smitten with their hands and those fingers! Fiddly yes although I'm hoping this year will see a few more little hands created.

Betty has a wandering mind and enjoys spending sun-filled afternoons in the park escaping in her favourite books.

Audrey — is a big fan of taking morning walks, gathering a poesy of wildflowers from the side of the path as she goes.

Florenceaffectionately known as Flo, keeps hearts in her pocket from secret admirers and loves wearing flowers in her hair.

Margo her favourite colour is blue and she only drinks her milk through a straw so she can blow bubbles over the edge!

What are you looking forward to creating this year?

Oh, lovely, lovely, lovely! I'd be clapping my hands for joy right now if I wasn't typing this. I love the added little details, the patches, necklaces, boots, pockets and things.
Those fingers are amazing. If I tried anything like that I'd end up poking a knitting needle straight through when turning it out.
Gwen has been watching Coraline almost every day the past week. Now she wants me to make her a Coraline doll. Isn't that an amazing film?

They're so cute Evie :) I love Flo, her dress is really nice. Good work on the fingers, do you use haemostats to turn them inside out?, it can help but if they're too pointy they can poke holes, I remember that from high school textiles when we made dolls.
