meet paul and luke!

To wrap-up the Needle Work / Needle Play posts let me introduce you to my work for the show; Paul and Luke, twin brothers and avid sweater collectors inspired by, Melbourne's wintery weather! All design, pattern and colour selections were hand sketched and the rest mostly stitched and embroidered by hand with a little machine sewing along some seams. Each character took around 40 hours to complete. Stupidly, the blurry phone pic at the top was the only shot I got of them once they were complete — while we were setting up no less. Luckily (for me) however I've decided not to part with them for now and will be able to take a much clearer photo once the exhibition comes down.

On here until 23rd August.

I saw the exhibition in the weekend and was quite taken by Paul and Luke. Such a handsome pair! And that embroidery is just so beautiful!
