I love how portable crocheting is. How easily it is to pick up and start again after leaving it a while.
This granny-square-style, crocheted baby's blanket is something I have been working on slowly. Bit by bit. You saw a peek last month.
This blanket was not entirely made by myself. An unlikely collaboration took place. A small beginning, in white, was made by an elderly lady who sadly passed away. That beginning along with a whole pile of wool and other unrealised projects was given to my nana. My nana, yet to get around to doing anything with it passed it on to me.
And this is my result.
I love it!
I love that a new life has been given to an unfinished, possibly even forgotten, project. Perhaps not finished as per it's originally intent but a second chance all the same.
