retro wild things

Original 80's Where the Wild Things Are plushies, Bernard and Sipi found over at The Dapper Appple's Etsy store. Pretty neat!

This same style has been remade since the Where the Wild Things Are movie but there are some very slight facial differences. Can you spot them?

Update: The difference I found on Bernard were the way the lines are drawn around his nose and cheeks. With Sipi Christina and Jess from Teddy Bear's Wednesday nailed it, blue forehead and different nose. Thanks for playing along!

My sister brought Cohen the remade Bernard for his first birthday. He is very cute. Cohen 'brushes' Bernard's hair with his hair brush. :)

PS. The blue forehead?

CUTE! I always wanted one as a child ( and then too as an adult). Can't put my finger on it with Bernard but with Sipi is the nose plush on the old one, and the new one fabric?xx

Oh...this takes me on a trip down memory lane! My brother had these and our family dog, Indi, was besotted with them. Any chance he had, Indi would make a beeline for my brother's room, find any of the Wild Things and take them back to his basket to snuggle with!

<3 as i child i loved this book. i love how it left so much to the imagination, not like a lot of children's entertainment today.
