As mentioned over here, I am imposing challenges upon myself every fortnight to do something that will have a positive impact on our planet, no matter how large or small. Challenge 1 was not to use any disposal food and beverage items. I mostly succeeded but I would not be telling the truth if I said I was 100% successful. 2 napkins and 2 takeaway coffee cups were used. Overall not a bad effort considering a prior fortnight would have seen somewhere around 15 takeaway cups, a few disposable takeaway food items and many more napkins used.
I really got an understanding of how much disposable food and beverage items I do come in to contact with, and will be doing my best from now on to maintain my ways from the past two weeks. I know it can be done, it just takes a little more planning and helps to be organised. Something I also need to work on!
Challenge 2 is going to be a tough one (for me), although one I think I can stick too. I am going to reduce the amount of printed material I purchase and create. Plus make sure all that I come in contact with that is no longer needed gets recycled. There will be no magazine purchases allowed during these two weeks. Those that know me well, know that I have a magazine addiction. This fortnight however I will have to borrow from friends, read online or head to the library if in need of a fix!

my big thing has been reducing my water bottles and tissue usage recently, I slipped into both due to travelling overseas, where you often can't drink the local water.
Oh, good on you, I admire a bit of goal-setting. I've been trying to do lots of stuff but not very systematically.
