pirate friend

Things have been pretty quiet around here the past few days, I have been struck by a very persistent cold so there has been much bed rest and little else.

Today though, I managed to apply the finishing touches to this pretty pirate's new pirate friend!

Making a second pirate was a real challenge as the first one I made up thinking it would be a one off for Softies for Mirabel. Kindly though one of the lovely ladies at Mirabel liked my pirate enough to request one of her very own (well, it's actually for her young son). So, tomorrow this guy will be off to his new home. I hope they like him!
