itchin' for stitchin'

Not much crafting time this week... apart from Brown Owls Monday night (see previous post). So, in the meantime I thought I'd share with you a little brooch I made a while ago.

This little lady is an experiment or a trial you could say for a few ideas I have itching to get further than sketches and on their merry way (Oh why are there not enough hours in the day?). She doesn't quite lie flat when pined to you - something I'm looking to improve but I think she turned out ok for a first go!
I'm loving her little pink cheeks.

She is made from calico, hand embroidered and painted on the front, stitched together by machine and hand, stuffed with poly-fill and has a little brooch back stitched to the reverse.

She is so cute...what about some really stiff interfacing and no stuffing? . I think she is delicious!!!
