It is possible I completely and utterly judged this book-by-it's-cover.

Unearthed at a local oppy.

In a slightly 'old lady' moment I sat here thinking "They really don't make books like they used to". sigh. Beautiful book!

I found a copy of Wind in the Willows that has similar bookplates and line drawings by the Heritage Illustrated Bookshelf (New York/Heritage Press). Is your book from the same series? Excited to look for others!
