My wish in the below post came true! We were graced with the presence of these pretty visitors over the weekend. Rosella's Rainbow Lorikeets make the happiest little chirping noises — such a nice way to be woken, instead of an alarm clock buzz. Thanks to the husband for the sweet pics.
Edit: Thankyou Kylie for the correct name of these little beauties. My bird watching days are over before they even began hehe!

They are beautiful, aren't they? We have a swarm in our suburb here and it feels magical when they fly through. I thought they were Rainbow Lorikeets though? Don't Rosellas have more of a red/blue colouring without the green wings? Anyway, whatever they are they're lovely :) Kx
Lucky you Evie! And lucky all of us in Australia really, to have such incredible visitors to our suburbs!! :)
Just this morning a sweet little finch watched and pecked around near the back door as I ate breakfast. It is indeed a fine way to start the day.
These little guys frequent the huge tree in our new backyard. They are lovely, aren't they? I'm with Kylie though, I think Rosellas are red and have always known these as Lorrikeets. I love it when you see a few of them in flight, like shots of colour. :)
These guys are having a party in our Loquat tree. Pretty and rowdy and wonderful.
