I know many of you are familiar with M.Sasek's wonderfully illustrated, This Is series but I thought I would share a couple of snippets from This Is Paris which I was lucky enough to be gifted at Christmas. It is to remind me of our time here...
I now wish I'd paid more attention to the light posts as I don't recall seeing one with a letterbox.
This could very well be me in many years to come, so long as she doesn't fly on that broomstick!
Gorgeous. I love this little black kitty crossing the path of all of those beautiful Parisian street lights. This city is certainly one of lights.
Nice hidden detail on the inside of the back cover under the jacket.

What a gorgeous book, I love all the pictures. I do love M. Sasek's work too.
Well, I 've just come back from a wonderful week in paris with my eldest son - I lived there for a while when I was younger and studied there part time too - feels like home - and is as beautiful and inspiring as ever!
these illustrations are so charming :)
These are gorgeous illustrations.
Thanks for sharing!
You're funny. I love the elderly cat woman comment. I think you'd look adorable on a broom. xxx
Such charming illustrations. I love the slinky black kitty and the broom lady. Probably me in 50 years time. 'Crazy Cat Lady' - that's what my brother's call me. I don't even have any cats!!!
Have a lovely week.

oh bless, this book is adorable! I have never actually heard of M Sasek before, how embarrassing I'm sure... but I love the illustrations, they remind me of that sweet shinzi katoh style. Ah Paris! What a great gift to remember a great city by.
One of my all time greatest compliments was received in Paris - a Metro worker complimented my french pronounciation after I ordered a train ticket. My partner Tom had to go and burst my bubble by asking - and did he give you that compliment in French or English?! Cheeky bugger.
thanks for sharing that book, it looks great!
