Yesterday we joined lots of little peeps and headed to the movies to watch Fantastic Mr. Fox, based on the book by Roald Dahl. Simply put, it is fantastic. We now have the trademark whistle of Mr. Fox in our heads, you will know what I mean if or when you see it.
Directed by Wes Anderson there is definitely a charming touch of The Royal Tenenbaums to this.
I am fascinated by the patience and cleverness of the people who create a stop motion film such as this. Incredible.
The sources of the pics above are from little makings-of videos I found here and here. And there is a great featurette here with comments from Roald Dahl's wife Felicity... also the name belonging to Mrs. Fox.
I went to see that film 3 times! I took my friend, then after seeing it I HAD to take my OH... and then my sis hadn't seen it so I thought oh well... Even just looking at these pics makes me feel happy! ;)
This is my all time favourite book so I'm a little apprehensive about seeing it. I'll probably give in and watch it, I've heard nothing but good things! The little foxes look soo cute!
