How beautiful is this mosaic mural by Melbourne's living treasure, Mirka Mora? I adore this piece so much although sometimes I think it's location is a bit of a shame, it feels somewhat under appreciated. I do however love that it's accessible to all but get the feeling not too many people actually see it even though hundreds pass it daily.

This has inspired me for as long as I can remember. I even did a school assignment on this mosaic.
I kinda like it's location as I always look at it when I'm walking to the NGV.
From the first image, without scrolling down I knew that as Mora's work. Love it. I think my fav artist of the moment. I read her book a couple of years back. It was a library book and if I ever see it in a bookstore I'll be buying it. I could read and reread it. Where is it. I'm not a Melbourne girl, but have been to the NGV and can't recall seeing it.
I know where this is! I love it too! : )
I love her work too. Where is it?
hi katie and sewhum, this lovely mirka mural is at flinders street station in melbourne...if you exit the station in the far corner nearest to the bridge crossing the yarra that leads to NGV, you will see it!
